Barista workshops

Post-16 training

In her hands-on barista training workshops, Debbie brings a unique perspective to the world of self-employed mobile catering, as a first-time business owner and neurodiverse entrepreneur. Debbie has over twenty-five years of experience, training and qualifications across children’s entertainment, retail, hospitality, teaching, event planning, and PR. Now, as a sole trader, she has perfectly blended her passion for engagement and education, with her enjoyment of good coffee. She also holds a five-star rated food hygiene award and current DBS certificates for a number of organisations.

Your students will enjoy the perfect blend of tuition and hands-on experience as they learn about the ‘daily grind’ of running a mobile drinks van. Participants might be interested in moving into a profession such as catering or retail. Or they could be hoping to become self employed. They might just want to practice some transferrable skills. For example, customer service, using a point of sale system, or basic food hygiene. Workshops will be designed to be inclusive and accessible, to enable participation from both mainstream and SEN students.
